Overview
pixconv.io is designed with privacy as a core principle for image processing. All image conversion happens entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and WebAssembly. We do not upload, store, or transmit your images to any server.
Image Processing
When you use the image converter on pixconv.io, your files are processed locally using your device's browser APIs (the HTML5 Canvas API for standard formats and a WebAssembly build of libheif for HEIC/HEIF files). No image data is sent over the network. Your files remain on your device at all times.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, referrers, browser types). Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish users and sessions. We use Google's Consent Mode v2, which means analytics cookies are only set after you grant consent via the banner shown on your first visit. Data collected may be processed by Google LLC in the United States under Google's standard contractual clauses.
You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time by clicking "Decline" on the cookie banner, by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings.
Advertising
We may display advertisements via Google AdSense. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve personalised ads based on your interests and browsing history. These cookies are only set if you consent via the cookie banner. You can opt out of personalised ads via:

- Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
If you decline consent or opt out, non-personalised ads may still be shown.
Cookies
pixconv.io uses cookies in the following cases:
- Analytics cookies (
_ga,_gid,_ga_*): Set by Google Analytics when you accept cookies. These expire after 2 years (_ga) or 24 hours (_gid). - Advertising cookies: Set by Google AdSense when you accept cookies. Used to serve and measure ads. See Google's advertising technology policy.
- Consent preference (
pixconv_consent): A localStorage entry (not a cookie) that remembers your cookie banner choice. It contains only "granted" or "denied" and never leaves your browser.
If you decline or do not interact with the cookie banner, no analytics or advertising cookies are set.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have rights including access, rectification, and erasure of personal data. Analytics data is collected via Google Analytics subject to Google's data processing terms. Children's Privacy
pixconv.io is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
