About pixconv

pixconv is a small, independent project that makes converting images simple, fast, and private. Every converter on this site — HEIC, AVIF, WebP, PNG, JPG — runs entirely in your browser. Your photos are processed locally on your own device and are never uploaded to any server. Nothing leaves your computer or phone.

Who makes pixconv

pixconv is built and maintained by Lena Fischer, an independent software developer. Lena builds privacy-first, browser-based tools because so many "free converters" quietly upload your files to their servers. pixconv was created to solve everyday format headaches — like iPhone photos saved as HEIC that won't open on Windows — without asking you to trust a stranger's server with your images.

What we support

How our guides are written

The tutorials in our blog are written and tested by a human. For every guide, we run the actual steps and verify the result on the relevant device (Mac, Windows, iPhone, or Android) before we publish. We use AI tools to help draft and structure the text, but every guide is reviewed, fact-checked, and tested by Lena Fischer before it goes live, and updated when operating systems or file formats change.

Privacy commitment

We do not collect, store, or transmit your images. For site analytics and advertising we use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which use cookies with your consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
